Transparency Note

We're not perfect yet. Some regions still require standard plastics, and protective foam for fragile items isn't fully sustainable. But we're investing in innovation – testing mushroom-based packaging, expanding compostable options, and working toward 100% sustainable packaging globally by end of 2025. Your purchases fund this ongoing research and development.

Common Questions

How can I verify your certifications are real?

Every certification we hold can be verified directly with the certifying body. Click the "Verify Certificate" link on any certification card above to check our current status on their official databases. We also provide transaction certificates for every order upon request.

What makes organic cotton better than conventional?

Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, using 90% less water and 62% less energy than conventional cotton. It maintains soil health, protects biodiversity, and is safer for farmers and their communities. The result is softer, more durable fabric that's better for your skin and the planet.

Why use recycled plastic packaging instead of paper?

Post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic provides superior weather protection during shipping, weighs less (reducing shipping emissions), and diverts existing plastic waste from landfills. We're giving new life to plastic that already exists rather than creating new materials. We use paper/cardboard where it makes sense for protection, and we're working toward 100% compostable alternatives by 2025.

Can I request plastic-free packaging?

Yes! Contact us at sustainability@designdelightstudio.com for plastic-free options. We can ship your order in paper-based packaging, though this may affect shipping times and product protection in some regions. In Australia, all orders already ship in compostable mailers. We're actively working to expand plastic-free options globally.

Why does made-to-order matter?

The fashion industry produces 92 million tons of waste annually, largely from overproduction. By making products only when ordered, we eliminate inventory waste completely. This means fresher products for you, no clearance sales driving overconsumption, and zero textile waste going to landfills.

How do I properly dispose of your packaging?

PCR Poly Mailers: Recyclable with plastic bags at most grocery stores
Cardboard Boxes: Curbside recycling accepted worldwide
Compostable Mailers (Australia): Home compost or industrial composting facilities
Paper/Tissue: Compostable or recyclable with paper
Every package includes clear recycling symbols and instructions. When in doubt, check our online recycling guide.

How do you ensure fair labor practices?

Our GOTS certification requires strict social criteria including no child labor, fair wages, reasonable working hours, and freedom of association. Our facilities in Bangladesh undergo surprise audits multiple times per year. We maintain full transparency with audit reports available upon request.

Can I get a copy of your sustainability report?

Absolutely! We publish quarterly sustainability reports detailing our environmental impact, supply chain updates, and progress toward our goals. Email us at sustainability@designdelightstudio.com to receive our latest report, or download it directly from our blog.
