Đồng Nai Province in Vietnam works hard to build strong brands for its agricultural products. The province focuses on sustainable ways to grow crops. It aims to grow sales at home and exports abroad.

Key Crop Branding and OCOP Program Success

The province brands major crops like cashew, pepper, coffee, mango, durian, banana, grapefruit, and jackfruit. These crops earn value through the “One Commune – One Product (OCOP)” program. OCOP helps add value and promotes each region’s strengths.

• The cashew crop is a key product in Đồng Nai. The province has over 180,000 hectares of cashew trees. This size makes it the largest cashew area in the country.
• Cashew processing and exports grow fast due to better techniques and high standards.
• Local businesses and cooperatives earn five-star OCOP ratings. For example, the Hoàng Anh Co-operative makes cashew nut cakes, wine, and fermented fruit juice, with nut cakes rated at four stars.

Local firms also focus on medicine. In Hưng Thịnh Commune, Tam An Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. makes two medicinal products. Both products have five-star OCOP ratings. These products reach markets in Vietnam, China, and the Czech Republic.

Sustainable Practices and Standard Certifications

Đồng Nai builds concentrated farming areas. Farmers use sustainable methods to grow industrial crops. They grow clean pepper under VietGAP and GlobalGAP rules. This work builds strong brands at home and abroad.

The provincial government helps with branding, product labels, and market promotion. Today, Đồng Nai has 496 OCOP products. Cashew makes up the largest group among them.

Enhancing Market Access and Promotion

Authorities boost market presence through trade events and digital sales.

• A new livestream in July 2025 raised the profile of Tân Triều grapefruit.
• The provincial Farmers Association links many stakeholders. This work boosts cooperation between producers and businesses.
• Local hotels, such as Đồng Nai Hotel, serve top-quality OCOP products. This step opens more sales channels.

Science, Technology, and Collaborative Models

Đồng Nai uses science and technology to improve product care, processing, and traceability. These steps keep export markets competitive. A four-party model ties farmers, companies, scientists, and government. This model helps with farming, processing, branding, and exports.

Nguyễn Thị Hoàng, deputy chairwoman of Đồng Nai’s People’s Committee, said cashew stays the province’s core crop. She promised more work to keep the title of Vietnam’s cashew capital.

Nguyễn Hữu Nguyên, chairman of the provincial Farmers’ Association, said that cooperation among cooperatives and companies is key. Such teamwork expands markets, boosts quality, and keeps agricultural growth strong.

Summary

Đồng Nai commits to branded, sustainable agriculture. Its OCOP program and strong partnerships build a resilient agricultural economy. With better quality, certification, and innovative markets, the province leads in crops like cashew and raises Vietnam’s export profile.
