Teijin Frontier Unveils THERMOFRONT™: A Sustainable Revolution in High-Performance Insulation for Eco-Conscious Consumers

Teijin Frontier Introduces THERMOFRONT™: A Sustainable, High-Performance Insulation Brand

Tokyo, October 2, 2025 — Teijin Frontier Co. Ltd. launches THERMOFRONT™. The company presents a master brand for sheet insulation. Teijin Frontier uses its skill in nonwoven fabric making and recycling. It makes this insulation with over 70% ECOPET® recycled polyester fiber. It also adds hollow, cross-sectional fibers. It mixes in functional raw materials to boost heat retention.

Key Features of THERMOFRONT™ Insulation

  • Sustainability:
More than 70% recycled content comes from ECOPET® polyester fiber. This fact improves its green profile.

  • Thermal Performance:
The hollow, cross-sectional staple fibers boost heat retention. They work better than old-style polyester sheets.

  • Advanced Fabric Technology:
The brand uses its own nonwoven fabric designs. It also improves sheet processing. Both steps raise durability and function.

Three Sub-Brands Tailored to Diverse Needs

  1. THERMOFRONT OA

    • It uses OCTAIR™. This eight-fin hollow staple fiber gives lightweight bulk and long-lasting warmth.
    • It is made entirely from recycled polyester.
  2. THERMOFRONT SL

    • It mixes SOLOTEX® with AEROCAPSULE® γ ECO.
    • SOLOTEX® is a spring-like polytrimethylene terephthalate fiber. AEROCAPSULE® γ ECO has a three-hole hollow spiral shape.
    • This mix gives the product softness, strong shape recovery, and steady heat retention.
  3. THERMOFRONT BE

    • It blends nonwoven fabric from BEMBERG® with AEROCAPSULE® γ ECO.
    • BEMBERG® is a regenerated cellulose cupro fiber by Asahi Kasei.
    • This mix absorbs and controls moisture. It stops wearer discomfort. The product has 97% recycled polyester and regenerated cellulose.

Market Launch and Production Plans

  • First, Japan and China will produce the insulation. Later, production will expand to Vietnam and Europe.
  • It will serve outdoor, sports, and casual wear for Autumn/Winter 2026.
  • Sales goals set 300,000 meters in fiscal 2025 and 1 million meters by fiscal 2028. ---
